Gotabhaya was summoned in the Lalit-Kuhan abduction case

Former Secretary to Defence Ministry Gotabhaya Rajapaksha was summoned by the Magistrate Court of Jaffna to appear on 21st June 2019 in the inquiry carrying out to investigate the abduction of Comrade Lalit Kumara and Kuhan Muruganandan.

The Jaffna organizer of Frontline Socialist Party Lalit Kumara and human right activist Kuhan Muganadan were abducted on 9th December 2011 in Jaffna while they were organizing International Human Rights Day.

Former cabinet media spokesman Keheliya Rabukwella in his testimony stated that the above victims were in the custody of the government and that information was received through defence council which was de facto led by Gotabaya Rajapaksha.
